Filmora9 Vs Filmora Pro: Difference & Comparison

If you are confused between wondershare two products filmora9 & filmora pro, you are on the right page.

Maybe you probably asked a question to yourself why wondershare developed two video editors. Or I’m unable to pick the best one for myself.

By the wondershare has 3 video editors. The third one is Filmora scrn. This is a screen recording software. 

But if choose filmora9 or Pro then you don’t need it. Because both software has a pre-made screen recorder.

Before I jump to the comparsion part let me briefly explain both software 

Introduction the Competitors

Back in 2018 when I start exploring video editing software I found wondershare has two editors. 

Filmora for editing & Filmora screen recorder that has less feature but it can record the screen.

But later on, as the company grows, wondershare decided to shut down the filmora & launched Filmora9 that is a kind of upgraded version of Filmora.

After few months they launched Filmora pro for advance video editors.

Filmora9

Filmora9 is mainly developed for YouTubers or anyone who is looking for an affordable video editor with all the necessary features.

So it is user-friendly, easy to use & doesn’t need a powerful computer.

Filmora9 is the most successful product of wondershare. I’m using it for a couple of years now. This software is continuously receiving updates.

It is user friendly, you can even start editing videos without watching any video. But if you prefer teching you are good to go within 2-3 hours.

It doesn’t need a powerful computer but it needs a decent machine.

Filmora Pro

Filmora pro as clear from its name is for the pro users. It is professional video editors who know what they are doing.

Because it is powerful it means needs a powerful machine & it is more expensive as well.

This is for people who want to make a career in video editing or anyone who wants to advance editing. Such as animation, motion graphics, etc.

There is a learning curve for Filmora Pro. So you need to spend some time learning its advanced features.

Although there is a learning curve of Filmora pro But still it is easy to use compared with its alternative options such as Premiere Pro.

System Requirements

Supported OS: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit) or Higher / macOS 10.13 High Sierra or Higher
Processor: Intel 4th Gen Core Processors or AMD equivalent
Disk: 1.2 GB
RAM: At least 4 GB (8 GB Recommended)

You have to think there is no big difference between system requirements. But from my experience, you definitely need SSD & Better Graphics. Otherwise, you will be just able to open the software not to edit your videos.

Perfect audience: Professional Video Editors, Freelancers, or anyone who can dedicate proper time to make the perfect shot.

Comparison 

Now you know that Filmora Pro is for advance users but you probably thinking what is the meaning of advance video editing.

Filmora9 can do the following things.

1. Screen Recording up to 120 FPS
2. Split, Cut, Trim
3. Adding Text: It has more than 200 premade titles that can be customized accordingly.
4. Transitions
5. Pre-made Filters: Filters for converting video into drawing, black & white, etc. It has around filters
6. Color Tuning: You have everything in-control such as brightness, contrast, saturation, vibrance so many other controls.
7. Some basic audio editing such as applying Equalizer beat detection, etc.

What Filmora9 Can’t Do

• No keyframe support: keyframe is used to move object position or size. You can’t create a custom keyframe in filmora9.
• No Motion tracking: Have you videos where text or other asset keep moving with the object. This also isn’t possible in filmora9.

Filmora Pro can Do all the things that Filmora9 can do it can also do some more things such as

Custom Animation: Move Object position as you like, custom the size & opacity.

Motion tracking: You can track motion as shown in the short clip

Masking Support: Video masks can be used to apply functions and filters to specific areas of footage to mix with another video.

For example, to create a bomb blast in the car. You need to throw the car door away. It will be done with help of masking & keyframe.

Audio Editing: Except for filmora9 editing, you can do a lot of other things such as an audio compressor to control the high & low your audio for & making it normalize the volume.

 Its noise reduction is also better than filmora9. 

Audio transitions is another crucial feature to mix music to make it smooth.

Detailed Color Correction: Filmora Pro takes color tuning to the next level.

Warp & Distort: Another importing thing in video editing. You probably saw videos on buildings or someone else computer. This is done by wrap & distort. 

Price 

Definitely Filmora Pro is the most expensive. There are three plans. Yearly, one time Offer & Annual Subscription.

Annual subscription has Flimstocks Standard library. Filmstock basically a collection of title templates, transition, effects & stock media.

If you are just getting started & barely making some money, then you don’t need it. Because build in the asset is good enough.

But if you are making promotional videos/ads, then you can give a try to it.

It is perfect for beginners & easy to use. You will figure out by yourself when you need to upgrade on filmora pro.

But if you want to make a career in the video editing even if you have no experience or you are already good at editing then filmora pro can take your editing to next level.

Keep in mind that, Video Editing is a skill, Software are nothing are just a tool for fighting on the battlefield. You have to spend the proper time using your weapon efficiently.
